To submit work to Zunix Writers Village, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age (writers under 18 require parental consent)
• Have a registered account on our platform
• Be the original author of the submitted work
• Hold the rights to publish the work or have obtained necessary permissions

Free members can submit up to 3 works per month. Premium and Pro members enjoy unlimited submissions.

Acceptable Genres

We accept submissions in the following genres:

• Fiction (short stories, flash fiction, novel excerpts)
• Poetry
• Creative non-fiction
• Memoir and personal essays
• Literary criticism and book reviews

Length Requirements

• Flash Fiction: Up to 1,000 words
• Short Stories: 1,000 to 7,500 words
• Novel Excerpts: Up to 5,000 words with a brief synopsis
• Poetry: Up to 3 poems per submission, maximum 100 lines each
• Essays and Non-fiction: 1,000 to 5,000 words

Content Restrictions

We do not accept work that contains:

• Hate speech or content that promotes discrimination
• Explicit sexual content without literary merit
• Gratuitous violence or gore
• Content that promotes illegal activities
• Plagiarized material

Note: Mature themes are acceptable when handled with literary sensitivity and purpose. Please include a content warning if your work contains potentially triggering material.

Whether you're using our text editor or uploading a file, please follow these formatting guidelines:

• Use a standard, readable font (Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri)
• 12-point font size
• Double-spaced for prose
• Include page numbers if uploading a multi-page document
• For poetry, maintain your intended formatting

File Formats

We accept the following file formats:

• DOC/DOCX (Microsoft Word)
• PDF
• RTF (Rich Text Format)
• TXT (plain text)

Maximum file size: 10MB

To submit your work:

1. Log in to your Zunix Writers Village account
2. Navigate to the "Submit Work" page
3. Fill out the submission form with your work's title, category, and tags
4. Choose whether to use our text editor or upload a file
5. Add a brief excerpt (this will be displayed in search results)
6. Upload a featured image (optional but recommended)
7. Review and accept our terms and conditions
8. Submit your work

Cover Letter

While not required, you may include a brief cover letter in the "Notes to Editor" field. This can include:

• A brief bio (50-100 words)
• Any relevant publication history
• Context for your work if necessary

After submission, your work will go through the following review process:

1. Initial Screening: Our editorial team will review your submission to ensure it meets our basic guidelines and quality standards.
2. Editorial Review: If your submission passes the initial screening, it will be assigned to an editor for a more thorough review.
3. Decision: Based on the editorial review, we will decide whether to accept, reject, or request revisions to your work.
4. Notification: You will receive an email notification with our decision. This typically takes 2-3 weeks, but may take longer during busy periods.

Feedback

Due to the volume of submissions we receive:

• Free members will receive a standard acceptance or rejection notification.
• Premium members will receive brief feedback on rejected submissions.
• Pro members will receive detailed feedback on all submissions.

By submitting your work to Zunix Writers Village:

• You retain copyright of your work.
• You grant us non-exclusive rights to publish your work on our platform.
• You grant us the right to include your work in our promotional materials.
• You confirm that the work is original and does not infringe on any copyright or other rights.

Previously Published Work

We generally do not accept previously published work. This includes:

• Work published in print journals or books
• Work published on websites with editorial selection processes
• Self-published books

Exception: Work shared on personal blogs or social media may be considered if you still retain full rights.

Simultaneous Submissions

We accept simultaneous submissions (work submitted to other publications at the same time). However, please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere by updating your submission status in your dashboard.

Zunix Writers Village hosts regular writing competitions with various themes and prizes.

• Competition entries have separate submission forms accessible from our "Competitions" page.
• Each competition has specific guidelines, deadlines, and prizes.
• Competition entries do not count toward your monthly submission limit.
• Some competitions may have entry fees, while others are free to enter.
• Pro members receive free entry to all competitions.
